This week standing committees will meet to deliberate on the annual reports of departments and entities of the Western Cape Government for the 2023-2024 financial year. 

 

SUMMARY OF PARLIAMENTARY ACTIVITIES

 

MONDAY, 21 OCTOBER

 

08:00: The Standing Committee on Finance will deliberate in-person on the 2023/24 Annual Reports of the Provincial Treasury and its Entity, the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. The Committee will discuss Parts A, B and D of both Annual Reports.

14:00: The Public Accounts Committee Committee will meet with Provincial Treasury and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board; including the Auditor-General of South Africa and the respective audit committees to deliberate on parts C, E and F of the annual reports of Provincial Treasury and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board for the 2023/24 financial year.

08:00:  The Standing Committee on Police Oversight, Community Safety, and Cultural Affairs and Sport will meet in the Chamber to deliberate on the Annual Reports of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Language Committee, Heritage Western Cape and the Western Cape Cultural Commission for the 2024/25 financial year.
