TUESDAY, 12 MAY
09:00 The Standing Committee on Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning will meet virtually where it will receive feedback from the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning on the submissions received in respect of the Western Cape Land Use Planning Amendment Bill [B 3–2025] after which the Committee will deliberate on possible amendments to the Amendment Bill.

13:00 The Standing Committee on Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism will meet virtually to be briefed by the Department of Agriculture and Casidra on the state of food security in the Western Cape and the impact studies that were completed on food gardens. The Department of Agriculture will also brief the Committee on the study commissioned through the Bureau for Food and Agricultural Policy (BFAP) to assess the impact of US tariffs on agricultural exports.

13:00 The Chairpersons’ Forum will be meeting virtually to consider the tabling of the report of the Committee Strategic Planning Workshop of 3-4 March 2026; tabling of the Planning, Budgeting and Reporting Framework for Committees of the South African Legislative Sector; the status of the Committee Plans; and the preparation and status of the International Relations Plan and committee international visits for the 7th Parliament.
