09:00 The Standing Committee on Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning will meet in Committee Room 2 to be briefed by CapeNature on the effects, status, challenges, successes, and proposed plan of action relating to the poaching of succulents and abalone in the Western Cape.

13:00 The Standing Committee on Education will meet in the Chamber to be briefed by the Western Cape Education Department on the Western Cape Court Judgment regarding learner admissions, the   Department’s decision on whether to appeal or comply with the judgment, and the financial contingency plans to meet the six-month deadline set by the court.

WEDNESDAY, 15 APRIL

13:00 The Public Accounts Committee will meet virtually to be briefed by CASIDRA on the factors which led to a breakdown in the non-payment of invoices during the 2024/25 financial year and how the Entity will avoid a recurrence of a similar nature; and the internal controls to prevent irregular expenditure, including the steps that the Entity has introduced to avoid a similar recurrence.
