(a) What are the details of the contract between the Laingsburg Municipality and the service provider of the Laingsburg advertisement billboard, and
(b) How much money has been generated by the Municipality from advertisements on the billboard?
(a) The advertisement billboard was constructed during July 2017, in the term of the previous Municipal Manager, Mr S Pieterse; however, no Supply Chain Management processes were followed.
The Municipal Manager, Mr P Williams, deemed the appointment of
12 Star Media (PTY) Ltd to be irregular. Hence council was approached on
29 May 2019 to regularise the appointment of 12 Star Media, effective 01 March 2019.
(b) The contract will generate R12 000 per month income for the Municipality, effective 1 March 2019.
