  1. How many arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol were recorded by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the province during the (a) 2024/25 and (b) 2025/26 financial years;
  2. of the total DUI arrests cited in question (1) above, how many successfully resulted in (a) criminal charges being enrolled by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), (b) cases proceeding to trial in court, (c) formal convictions, (d) acquittals and (e) the formal withdrawal of charges;
  3. (a) which ten police stations in the province recorded the highest volume of DUI arrests and (b) which ten courts in the province recorded the highest number of successful DUI convictions;
  4. of the motorists arrested for DUI offences, how many have been identified as (a) repeat offenders, (b) professional driving permit (PrDP) holders or (c) active public transport operators at the time of their arrest?
