  1. (a) What is the total number of animals that have been vaccinated in the province to date and (b) what percentage of the province’s targeted livestock population does this figure represent;
  2. (a) what is the current status of the vaccine supply pipeline for the remainder of the 2026 calendar year, specifically regarding the (i) estimated arrival dates and (ii) quantities of the provincial share;
  3. how many (a) private veterinarians and (b) producers in the province have registered to participate following the official gazetting on 4 May 2026 of the voluntary public–private Routine Vaccination Scheme for Foot-and-mouth Disease (RVS-FMD) under section 10 of the Animal Diseases Act, 1984 (Act 35 of 1984)?
Answer Body: 

(1) (a) As of the 5 June 2026, a total number of 270,316 animals were vaccinated.

(b) 60%

(2) (i) 3,5 million doses of Biogenesis Bago vaccine arrived on 24 May 2026 and further 4 million doses of Dollvet vaccine still expected at national Department of Agriculture

(ii) The Province will receive 67 000 from latest Biogenesis Bago consignment, and currently have enough supply, considering that the new Dollvet consignment is imminent.
