With regard to the sewerage and stormwater infrastructure in Philippi:

  1. (a) What is the status of the current sewerage network in Philippi and (b) how many households (including formal households, informal settlements and backyard dwellers) are currently connected to the system;
  2. (a) when was the last major upgrade undertaken on the sewerage infrastructure in Philippi and (b) what were the details of the upgrade;
  3. in the previous three financial years, what percentage of the Human Settlements budget has been allocated to sewerage infrastructure upgrades in Philippi;
  4. whether there are any plans to upgrade, repair or expand the stormwater infra-structure in Philippi to address general flood risks; if not, why not; if so, (a) what are the relevant details and (b) what are the timelines for the (i) implementation and (ii) completion of the planned stormwater infrastructure interventions in Philippi?
