With reference to correspondence sent to his office on 17 November 2025 by the Helderberg Residents Concerned Group (HRCG) regarding a request to partner with the provincial government on the development of community facilities on provincial land situated between the Soet River Canal and Broadway Boulevard in Strand:
- Whether his Department has provided any formal response to the HRCG since receipt of the correspondence in November 2025; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether his Department has considered the proposal for the establishment of educational, social, recreational and community development facilities on the identified parcel of land; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether any engagements, meetings or site assessments have taken place between his Department and representatives of the HRCG regarding the proposal; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether the identified parcel of land is currently earmarked for any provincial devel-opment, conservation or other strategic purpose; if so, what are the relevant details?
1. No, the correspondence was referred to the Ministry of Infrastructure on 17 November 2025 as the custodian of provincial government properties.

3. The Department of Infrastructure addressed correspondence to the Secretary General, Mr Vallie, requesting a property reference number or description which would enable IAM to respond to the request.
4. We have been advised that the officials of the DoI have, however, been unsuccessful in identifying the parcel of land which is referred to in the letter from the HRCG.
