Whether the provincial government has adopted a policy requiring Members of the Provincial Parliament to seek permission first before conducting oversight visits at government institutions and facilities?
Answer Body:
I am not aware of such a policy. Western Cape Government facilities are guided by applicable legislation and relevant policies intended to protect and serve residents. Members of the Provincial Parliament are guided by applicable legislation, and relevant documents of the House, such as the Standing Rules.
