Whether the national Department of Sport contributed to the Saldanha Bay rugby club’s Easter tournament; if so, how much was contributed?
Answer Body:
The tournament organisers, Braventure services, confirmed that support in the amount of R1 000 000 was given to the Saldanha Bay Rugby Club’s Easter Tournament by the Office of the National Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture.
The National Department was contacted by the provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport but could not confirm this amount and referred the department to the Ministry. Confirmation was then requested from the National Ministry but at the time of submission of this response, confirmation was not yet received.
