(a) How many schools in the province were affected by vandalism during the term 1 holiday period of 2026 and (b) what was the total estimated cost of the damage incurred during this period;
(2) whether his Department has recorded a reduction or increase in incidents compared to the same holiday period in 2025; if so, what percentage reduction or increase was recorded;
(3) how many cases relating to school vandalism and burglary were opened with the South African Police Service during this period;
(4) (a) what types of infrastructure were most commonly vandalised or stolen, (b) which municipalities (metropolitan or district) recorded the highest number of incidents and (c) which three geographic areas were most affected?
