The Registrar of Act 36 was contacted regarding the delay in the client ‘s product registration application. The Registrar's office has responded with specific guidance to facilitate the process.
The Registrar provided the following feedback and guidelines:
- The client must liaise with the Registrar's office directly to resolve the matter.

- Product brochures are insufficient for the assessment process.
- The client needs to provide specific details that address the requirements of the Act 36 of 1947.
- The client is specifically required to articulate:
- The precise nature of the product.
- The function and intended use of the product.
- A clear explanation of how the product fits into the scope and requirements for registration under Act 36 of 1947.
The company must ensure that this information is submitted to the Registrar's office promptly to allow the registration process to continue.
