The standing committees of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament will consider the following bills:

1. The Western Cape Adjustments Appropriation Bill of 2025 during virtual meetings that are scheduled for Friday 5 December 2025 and Monday 8 December 2025. All the standing committee meetings will take place through Microsoft Teams and will be open to the public. The proceedings will be livestreamed on YouTube.

The purpose of the Bill is to appropriate adjusted amounts of money from the Provincial Revenue Fund for the requirements of the Province of the Western Cape in respect of the financial year ending 31 March 2026 and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

At these meetings the proposed adjusted budgets of each department will be discussed. Interested persons and organisations are invited to attend and participate in these meetings through Microsoft Teams or to follow the proceedings on YouTube. Please contact Mr Dustin Davids, Procedural Officer of the Budget Committee, to request a copy of the schedule of the virtual standing committee meetings and the YouTube link for the meetings by telephone (021 487 1683) or by email (ddavids@wcpp.gov.za).

Interested persons and organisations are invited to submit written or oral comments on the Western Cape Adjustments Appropriation Bill of 2025 by email (ddavids@wcpp.gov.za) or as voice notes or messages on WhatsApp (078 155 5461). Please include your full name, subject matter, email address and/or contact number when submitting comments to the Budget Committee. Individuals and organisations interested in making oral submissions at the virtual committee meetings must indicate it when submitting their comments. Submissions must reach the relevant committee by no later than Thursday 4 December 2025.

Once the bill is introduced on Thursday 4 December 2025, copies of the Bill will be available on request and an electronic version will be made available on this website. Please contact the Procedural Officer if you require a copy of the bill.

2. The Division of Revenue Amendment Bill (NCOP) of 2025

The purpose of the bill is to allow for the amendment of the equitable division of revenue raised nationally among the national, provincial and local spheres of government for the 2025/26 financial year and the responsibilities of all three spheres of government pursuant to such divisions, and to provide for matters connected therewith.
