- The department supports the Minstrels through annual funding. The organisations involved submit their proposals for funding consideration.
- What is the allocated budget for the 2026 event?
Response:
- The allocated budget is R1, 7m.
- What is the involvement of the national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in the Minstrel Carnival and budget that has been allocated to the 2026 event?
Response:
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport is not aware of any funding that is provided by the national Department, DSAC.
