With regard to support provided to sporting codes:
(a) What sporting codes are currently receiving support from his Department and (b) what is the nature of this support?
7.(a) The department supported 124 district sport federations (various codes) in the Western Cape in 2024/25. The process to fund sport federations for the 2025/26 year is still in process. For federations to receive funding they all had to apply and meet the conditions as set out in the sport funding policy. In summary, the following codes were supported over the 6 districts:

7.(b) Funding is transferred to federations for administration, development, capacity building, transformation and major events. We also provide equipment and attire to clubs.
