- What initiatives are currently underway to expand the available space for the housing of homeless people in Cape Town and (b) what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
- An additional shelter site for homeless people has been identified in Cape Town, namely the Old Tafelberg Creche in District Six.
- Planning and costing of the site have been concluded and finalisation of architectural design is in process. This will include the redesign and build of a kitchen, office space, bathroom facilities, and dormitories that can accommodate 100 homeless people.
