The Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board provided the following information:
(b) What value did these transactions add to the functioning of the board?
These transactions clarified certain legal positions relative to the Board authority and mandate. It identified a procedure which needs to be followed for success. It identified amendments for the Act and Regulations.

Legal counsel was sought for some of the matters
- Whether the legal opinion received was effected; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant detail?
The gambling board reviewed the opinions received from our legal services, CEO, attorneys and advocates (where counsel was consulted). The Board based its decisions on the opinions received from these legal experts and board deliberations.
