With regard to the placement of learners in schools in the Western Cape for the 2021 academic year and applications for the 2022 academic year:
- (a) What is the number of applications that have been received for the 2022 academic year and (b) what measures are in place to avoid another situation of unplaced learners,
- what is the detailed (a) list of schools and (b) breakdown of unplaced learners who have been placed in schools in the province in the period January 2021 to May 2021?

15. (1) (a) 422 912 applications to multiple schools for the 2022 academic year have been processed on the system. This translates into 153 942 unique learners applied for.
