The Western Cape Government is an equal opportunity employer and works very hard to achieve employment equity, with close monitoring of our objectives in this regard. None of the three public entities under the auspices of the DCAS appoint any staff. The administration of the three entities are performed by officials of the department.
As from 2020, after a legal opinion was obtained it was determined that the controlling bodies for the entities are the accounting authorities for the purposes of the PFMA, meaning officials of the department are no longer responsible for these roles.
