What is the total number of women in senior or top management positions who are employed by the Western Cape Government and its entities, including their (a) positions, (b) salary ranges and (c) race in (i) 2014, (ii) 2015, (iii) 2016, (iv) 2017, (v) 2018, (vi) 2019, (vii) 2020 and (viii) 2021 to date?

Answer Body: 

The Western Cape Government is an equal opportunity employer and works very hard to achieve employment equity, with close monitoring of our objectives in this regard. We drive employment equity as part of our recruitment processes, and through upskilling and empowering current employees to prepare them to take up senior management positions across government departments. These efforts are ongoing.

I am informed of the total number of women in senior or top management position in government departments and their entities is as follows:

All annual information is presented as at 31 March of the respective year, with the exception of the 2021 year which is presented as at 28 February 2021.
