The right of Members to put questions to Ministers is an important part of ensuring the executive authority’s accountability to the Provincial Parliament.   1. Whether an investigation has been conducted on how a firearm that was listed as having been destroyed was found in the possession of a suspect who ran away when he was approached by law enforcement officers; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

 

  1. how many firearms have been found or confiscated in (a) 2015/16, (b) 2016/17, (c) 2017/18, (d) 2018/19, (e) 2019/20 and (f) 2020/21 to date even though they were listed as destroyed by the SAPS in the Western Cape;
