With regard to a media report (IOL) on 9 March 2021 regarding the retirement of the Principal of the Grove Primary School:

(1)    Whether she can provide an update regarding the South African Council of Educators (SACE) disciplinary hearing that was scheduled for 25 March 2020; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

(2)    whether the she can provide reasons why her Department did not inform the SACE of the findings against the Principal of the Grove Primary School after her Department’s disciplinary process had been concluded;

(3)    whether her Department recommended a full forensic investigation into the financial affairs of the school and the suspension of the Principal with pay pending that investigation; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

(4)    how did her Department arrive at the amount of money that was to be recovered from the Principal, as mentioned in summons 16290/2019 at Wynberg Magistrate’s Court;

Given that the amounts related to the summons do not account for the illegal off-budget amounts paid to the Principal in 2016 or 2017, which compounded in subsequent years, as the correction was never made to the actual budget-approved increase in 2017:

(5)    whether she can provide an explanation for this oversight in calculating the correct amount that was illegally paid to and received by the Principal of the Grove Primary School; if so, what are the relevant details;

(6)    whether this oversight will be corrected and a proper forensic investigation be conducted to determine the depth of the Principal’s illegal and possibly fraudulent conduct; if so, what are the relevant details;

(7)    whether she and her Department will support the SACE case against the Principal for financial mismanagement; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

(8)    whether she can provide an update regarding the instruction to the State Attorney to recover the funds; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?

With regard to allegations of sexual harassment against the Traffic Chief, whose name has been furnished to his Department for the purpose of his reply, and his Department’s decision not to suspend him pending the investigation:

(1)    (a) What applicable legal prescripts guide the work of the provincial government to suspend senior employees for allegations of sexual misconduct and (b) how were they applied in this case;

(2)    whether this person has been charged by a court of law in 2020; if so, (a) what are the relevant details and (b) what remedial action did his Department take;

With regard to the Department’s commitment to appoint an independent panel to investigate the allegations:

(3)    (a) what is the status of that investigation and (b) how much has been spent on it to date;

(4)    whether the victim has not been to work since September 2020 due to health reasons; if so, (a) what are the relevant details, (b) when last did she report for duty, (c) what is her state of health and mind, (d) what support has been given to her and (e) what protection has been given to her and with regard to her job security?

(1)    (a) What is the total expenditure of his Department’s Expanded Public Partnership (EPP), (b) how many community policing forums (CPFs) (i) participated and (ii) received funding, (c) what (i) is the breakdown of these CPFs and (ii) amount each CPF received in the 2020/21 financial year, (d)(i) what are the details of the CPFs that do not participate in the EPP, (ii) what are the reasons for this and (e) what measures have been taken by his Department to improve relations between the CPFs and his Department;

(2)    whether the Department can provide a breakdown of its expenditure on EPPs between the 2018/19 and 2020/21 financial year, including details of how much each CPF received?
