Thank you for visiting our website. I am Masizole Mnqasela, the elected Speaker of the Sixth Parliament of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCPP).

Public participation is a vital component of the functioning of our parliament in our province. Our focus is on building stronger relations with the people of the Western Cape in order to promote the essential role of active citizenship in the law-making processes. Our Public Education and Outreach team can also present educational workshops, either at our building or in communities. Feel free to contact them. We, as the WCPP, also have to ensure that the Executive of the Western Cape Government is held accountable for the spending of taxpayers’ money and for providing the necessary services. The WCPP fulfils this role by conducting vigorous oversight over the provincial departments.
