A Grade 12 (matric certificate) with at least three years’ relevant experience ● Candidates who have been assessed in terms of recognition of prior learning are welcome to apply ● Applicants should be proficient in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape ● Good verbal communication skills ● Good telephone skills ● Good interpersonal skills ● Good numerical skills ● Good conflict resolution skills ● Basic business writing skills ● Ability to work under pressure ● Candidates must be willing to work long and often irregular hours


Key Performance Areas:

Operating the reception desk and electronic visitor management system (VMS) Maintaining a log of calls, e-mails and walk-in enquiries ● Fault logging iro VMS ● Liaison with security service wrt official visitors ● Operating the parliamentary boutique including sales, cashbox reconciliations, etc ● Maintaining the Reception area and Visitors’ Centre ● Taking inventory of stock in boutique and corporate items and marketing material stores ● Liaison with official visitors ● Issue and deliver corporate items and marketing material from store rooms ● Perform switchboard duties as and when required ● Liaise with service providers iro corporate items and marketing material.



Knowledge and experience of a parliamentary environment ● One-year post–matric diploma or certificate in relevant field.
